Editorial Policy
Transparency on how our content is created and verified.
Who writes our articles
CEFRhub blog articles are written by the CEFRhub Team — specialists in CEFR language assessment. Our team combines expertise in applied linguistics, second language didactics, and educational technology. Every article is reviewed by at least one team member before publication.
Our sources
Our articles are based on verifiable sources: the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the 2020 Companion Volume by the Council of Europe, peer-reviewed publications in applied linguistics (Language Testing, Applied Linguistics), and Canadian and European regulatory frameworks (PIPEDA, Law 25, GDPR, AI Act). All factual claims include references.
Verification process
Each article follows a three-step verification process: (1) research and drafting by a specialist, (2) technical peer review, (3) fact-checking of cited sources. Statistical data (such as the 0.85–0.88 correlation rate with human raters) comes from published language assessment literature.
Editorial independence
While CEFRhub is a commercial product, our informational articles aim to provide independent educational value. Sections mentioning our product are clearly contextualized. We distinguish informational content (guides, CEFR analyses) from promotional content (product updates, comparisons).
Updates
Our articles are periodically reviewed to reflect changes in the CEFR, regulations, and research. The last update date is shown in each article's metadata. If you find a factual error, please let us know.
