The platform is grounded in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the international standard for measuring proficiency from A1 to C2, in any language. It serves educational assessment, course placement, hiring, and language screening for companies and institutions alike. Its analysis focuses on written and spoken production — the skills that most reliably reveal a true level — rather than on multiple-choice answers alone.
The expertise behind the method
CEFRHub was founded by Réda Haiat, a specialist in CEFR-based language assessment with over 22 years of practice. His expertise forms the methodological foundation of the platform. Réda Haiat is a DELF/DALF examiner-marker accredited by France Éducation international, France's public authority for language certification, and a certified ACTFL OPI Tester (Oral Proficiency Interview — Full Certification, through the Superior level), the North American reference for assessing spoken production. This accreditation is personal: CEFRHub itself is not accredited or recognized by France Éducation international.
This command of the world's two leading assessment frameworks is rare. It is what allows CEFRHub to place a level on the CEFR scale and map documented correspondences, with their limits, across systems (CEFR, ACTFL, IELTS, TOEFL).
A transparent, documented method
This expertise translates directly into how CEFRHub assesses. Every analysis draws on the descriptors of the CEFR and its Companion Volume (Council of Europe, 2020) and measures real production against precise criteria, rather than assigning an opaque score. This methodological rigor — transparent and documented — is at the core of the platform.
